Our Team

Whether you are buying or selling, you'll work directly with Rob, Chris, Craig & Cam.

When you choose the team at Wellington Equestrian Realty to find or sell your home or farm, you don’t get just one agent, you get an entire dedicated team that operates with one goal in mind: making sure that your real estate needs are satisfied.

Chris & Rob Desino

The principals of Wellington Equestrian Realty, Rob and Chris Desino were born and raised in Rochester, New York. They were introduced to horses when their parents sent the identical twins to summer camp around age eight, and that passion persisted into adulthood.

Their drive and determination showed early on as the brothers were top performers in every sport they played. But it was competitive rowing where they first made a mark on the national scene.

While attending Hobart College, they were two-time National Collegiate Champions. After graduation, the brothers moved to Philadelphia where they trained and competed for the US National and World Championship Team. Prior to the 2000 Olympics, Rob suffered an unfortunate career-ending injury and they turned their focus to another passion: restaurants.

Rob and Chris created a chain of very successful restaurants throughout Rochester, Buffalo and Syracuse, New York. Operating these restaurants provided the ideal opportunity for Rob and Chris to develop the attention to detail and exemplary customer service that also serves them so well in the real estate industry.

The love of horses still runs deep; in 2007 the Desinos purchased horses from a trainer in Ocala, Florida and wintered there to train and compete. They also worked with a trainer in Wellington and began to make connections there. Over time, they also became involved in equestrian sports as owners and currently own eight high performance competition horses.

After selling their restaurants, the brothers felt that the horse farm real estate business was the logical next step. They began their ventures with Ocala Horse Properties, and shortly thereafter opened Wellington Equestrian Realty. In 2010 they became major supporters of the Winter Equestrian Festival and were the founding sponsor of the Global Dressage Festival.

Craig Martin, Wellington Real Estate Agent

Craig Martin was born and raised in New Zealand, then worked and trained in Europe for more than a decade with top equestrians including Tim Stockdale, Barry Taylor, William Funnel, and Dutch Olympic Chef d’Equipe Johan Heins. He has brought horses up the levels, from green prospects to the Grand Prix show ring, and has competed on four continents at some of the world’s best shows. At the pinnacle of his riding career he was long-listed for the 2004 Athens Olympics.

In 2003, Craig moved to the United States and has competed and coached at most major North American competitions, such as Spruce Meadows and South Florida’s own Winter Equestrian Festival.

In 2008, with his friend and business partner Sharn Wordley, Craig started Wordley Martin Equestrian, a riding arena consultation and site-work construction company. Now one of the top arena builders in the country, Wordley-Martin has qualified Craig as one of 14 people worldwide on the FEI Approved Footing Specialists List and his company has become the choice of high performance equestrians across disciplines.

Craig quit riding professionally around age 35 to really focus on the footing business. Having played rugby in school, and done some weight lifting to stay fit, he started weight training again to maintain his fitness. A fellow bodybuilder introduced him to Triathlon, and Craig was hooked; over the next eight years he competed in numerous Ironman triathlons, then moved on to Ultra marathons and finally adventure racing. That toughness and adventurous spirit have also served Craig well in the business world.

Craig joined Wellington Equestrian Realty in 2013. His extensive background in the equestrian field and success in the riding arena construction business has created a natural segueway into the real estate market.

“We’re fully ingrained in Wellington” he said. “My wife Rae Marie works for Palm Beach Equine, managing seven veterinarians, and between my wife and I both being amateur show jumpers and Wordley Martin having built over 450 arenas, there really isn’t anyone I haven’t bumped into in this area.”

Being aware of a rider’s needs, Craig is very comfortable walking properties and has a first-hand understanding of farms, local building codes and construction. Whether it’s building a house or barn from scratch, remodeling a house or barn, or building an arena, Craig is a well-rounded agent.

“When the buyers come to us we are able to quickly ascertain what they need, what it will cost, and how it folds into the whole economic sphere and whether it makes sense,” he said. “Quite frankly, at the end of the day, that’s why we are sought after; clients know they’ll get good representation and super good knowledge of what’s going on. Wellington is so small, you’re only as good as your last job. We go above and beyond. The whole thing is ‘white glove service’ – that’s what clients expect and demand and we set out to deliver.”

Cameron Scott, Wellington Real Estate Agent

Cameron “Cam” Scott, originally from Richmond, Virginia, has been immersed in the horse world most of his life. He grew up showing and foxhunting, earning his colors with the Keswick Hunt and was the first young rider to be hired professionally on the hunt staff as their Whipper-In.

Cam’s professional riding, grooming and barn management career has taken him throughout the U.S. and abroad. He has worked with several FEI level and “A” circuit trainers over the years, becoming an expert at multi-tasking and managing different client needs and personalities.

Wintering in Wellington, Cameron connected with the Desino brothers and Matt Varney who recognized his potential within the real estate industry. He started out working in Marketing, eventually earning his license and working out of the Wellington office.

After several years in Ocala focusing on the start-up of Hudson Phillips Properties and the marketing and sales of luxury residential properties and small horse farms in Marion County, in 2023 he relocated to Wellington to focus on the opportunities provided by the exclusive brokerage agreement with the Winter Equestrian Festival. He has the experience and knowledge to help the WER team take their clients to the next level.

“I’m also looking forward to riding again to rekindle my connections in the Wellington horse scene,” he said. “I really enjoy the cross over from being an equestrian, riding and working with some of the top trainers and clients in the industry, to networking with equestrian clients and connecting them with the horse farm that will best suit their needs.”

In his limited free time Cameron enjoys traveling, paddle boarding, kayaking, and going to the gym. He also has a Kerry Blue Terrier, Ch. Kerrifield Alloy, that he enjoys showing at dog shows, most recently earning his Championship title.

Dilan Bower-Desino

Dilan grew up in Seattle and was always enthralled with the real estate industry. Leading up to his 18th birthday, he took all of the necessary courses and on his birthday he tested for and received his real estate license. He initially hung his license at Sotheby’s in Seattle.

With a passion for rowing, Dilan attended Hobart and William Smith Colleges, where he met Chris and Rob Desino. While at Hobart he studied economics and math and became passionate about marketing and brand development in the greater real estate market. Using his studies, he was able to find new channels to reach potential customers on the buyer and seller side of the real estate market.

Dilan was involved in the startup of the boutique luxury companies Hudson Phillips Charleston and Ocala. More recently he has focused on Ocala Horse Properties and Wellington Equestrian Realty and started to dive into the companies to market each individual farm, using data analytics to find out what is important to buyers and sellers in the equestrian market.

“Each individual property has its own story and we have fine-tuned our target market, as a niche company, in the broader real estate industry.”

In his free time Dilan still enjoys rowing, and is a member of a boathouse in Palm Beach. He has a passion for alpine skiing and hits the slopes whenever possible. He also enjoys time with horses and attending equestrian events.

Kristine Cassino, Office Manager

Kristine Cassino joined Wellington Equestrian Realty in 2013 as the Office Manager. In 2017, she expanded her responsibilities by getting her real estate license. She is the main point of contact at the office, acts as closing coordinator and prepares all of the listing agreements, contracts and other documents — making sure the real estate transaction process is seamless for clients.

Kristine also keeps her hands full with the residential leases for WER; sourcing the perfect seasonal and annual rentals for tenants, who many times rent ‘sight unseen’, trusting her judgment based on years of experience.

Kristine has lived in Palm Beach County for over 20 years and has been a South Florida resident for most of her life. She enjoys free time with her family, friends and dog. She also enjoys traveling, trying new restaurants and breweries, listening to live music and attending art festivals.
