The Winter Equestrian Festival (WEF) is the largest, longest running hunter/jumper equestrian event in the world, running from January 6th to April 4th, 2021. Although the 2021 season will continue to look different due to Covid with limitations on spectators, equestrians will still enjoy a full calendar of top competition!
Throughout the summer, fall and holiday season, the PBIEC was able to run a successful show circuit, in accordance with Covid regulations defined by the USEF. Even though there were not any spectators, USEF rules did allow for each competitor to be accompanied by a trainer, groom and up to 2 family members. By following specific safety regulations requiring masks and social distancing, PBIEC has done a brilliant job continuing horse competition in Palm Beach County.
For the 2020 season, WEF saw an increase in entries, with 10k exhibitors and over 250K spectators in attendance. Although the spectators will be missed this season, entries for this season are going strong – as people are flocking towards Palm Beach for the opportunities to enjoy outdoor recreation. Beyond equestrian sports, Palm Beach is world renowned for some of the best golf courses in the country, a multitude of water sports, and access to miles of breathtaking beaches.
